Established in 1959 as a liaison office, Shima American Corporation was restructured as an overseas subsidiary in 1963. It supplies products imported from Japan and Asia and local products to Japanese-owned and American companies. It also exports products to Japan and Asia.

Shima Trading (Shanghai) was initially established as a liaison office in 1996 and later became an overseas subsidiary. It supplies imported and locally manufactured products not only to Japanese-owned companies, but also local and South Korean-owned companies.

Founded in 1992 as a liaison office, Shima Trading Singapore became an overseas subsidiary in 2000. In addition to local distribution of imported products, it also acts as the headquarters for investment in other Shima entities in Asia.

Shima Asia Pacific (M) distributes imported products locally and exports products to India. In addition to lubricants, cosmetic ingredients, and chemicals, it also supplies parts to local automobile manufacturers.

Shima Trading Indonesia sells various products, including metal-working lubricants and related parts and materials, automotive parts, and cosmetic ingredients.

In addition to market research about the battery industry, the Seoul Liaison Office also acts as a contact point for communications with South Korean customers and suppliers.
